Potluck of Meaning, Hosted by Spezzatino Magazine

When
Sat, 3 Dec 2011, 7:00pm–10:00pm

Each year, Spezzatino Magazine hosts 100 of the coolest, most food-lovingest people in Toronto in the Potluck of Meaning. The idea is simple: share a sample of the meal that means the most to you; your Grandma’s chocolate cake, for example, or a dish you picked up on your travels. Anything that has a story behind it qualifies. The best part? Tasting all the deliciousness brought by others, and raising thousands of dollars to fight hunger! All proceeds from the event — and a hefty $15,000 novelty-sized cheque — will be presented at the end of the night to The Stop Community Food Centre.

PARKING: Street parking is available on Christie and on numerous side streets around the Green Barn.

TRANSIT: TTC access is easy; The Green Barn is conveniently located one block south of the St. Clair streetcar stop at Christie St. For people coming on the subway from the north or south, the St. Clair streetcar is accessible from the St. Clair West subway stop on the University line.

NOTE: Everyone is responsible for their own leftovers, so please bring no more than you’re willing to take home at the end of the night. If you don’t know how much to bring, we suggest enough to serve 10-12 people a small, tapas-sized portion; perhaps a little more for snacks and desserts.

ADMISSION: $40; or $20 if you bring your “most meaningful meal” to contribute to the potluck
